Empty Homes

A poem

Photo by Luke Stackpoole on Unsplash

Empty rooms–

lit.

Empty rooms–

lived.

Empty hallways–

walked.

Echoes of the imagined,

of old conversations,

of sweet laughter,

of trouble and fights,

all but just remains in the walls.

Hushed footprints of the past,

these stories are the ones that need to be told.
